1. To network with others
One big reason is the chance to meet people with similar interests as yourself. The diversity in conferences is incredible and you can meet people from all over the world. Creating connections with people in your field could benefit you greatly down the road.
2. To learn new things and find solutions to problems
In your desired field you will learn and expand your knowledge. You may have not even known some of these technologies or equipment existed until now. This new equipment or technology could create a solution to your companies’ problem. You have the opportunity to ask speakers questions, which you can’t do from just reading articles or watching recordings.
3. To present your ideas to others
As a speaker or even an attendee presenting your ideas to others in the same field is always a great idea. Feedback from people in your field should always be taken into consideration. New insights on projects, or even just looking at it from a different perspective.
4. For people to meet you
This sounds a lot like the networking point, right? Wrong, this is an excellent way to get your name out there in the world. Conferences are a great way to show off what you know and excel in. As a presenter or attendee, it’s always great for people to recognize you and know your name.
5. Learn beyond your field or interest
Classes such as excel training or career advice could also be held at the 4C conference. You will not want to miss out on a great learning experience. Also, things such as finding a new job, recruiting for an open position, or even just trying to get out of the office for a few days. All these can be found at the 2023 4C HSE Conference.
