Updated Requirements for Stationary Engine Testing - Stack Testing

As of March 10, 2014, the USEPA has withdrawn Alternative Test Methods ALT-061 (Approval of Single Point Testing for Subpart JJJJ) and ALT-087 (Waiver of Stratification Tests for Engines). As of August 24, 2016 the USEPA updated the FAQ section of RM Method 19 as an option in determining the concentration of Oxides of Nitrogen, Carbon Monoxide, and Volatile Organic Compounds as it pertains to testing stationary RICE applicable to 40 CFR Subpart JJJJ. Even though these regulatory method changes occurred 4-6 years ago, there are many operators and testing firms that are unaware and unable to comply with these changes. Furthermore, there is great debate as to whether Annex 8 of ASTM d-6348 is a requirement under 40 CFR Subpart JJJJ, and how to satisfy the method criteria of Annex 8. For clarity and guidance on these method requirements, as well as, recently approved modifications to Method 2 and Method 7e, join Randy Bartley of BAIR for his 4C Webinar presentation on November 10th, 2020.
