Yousheng Zeng, PhD, PE, is a licensed Professional Engineer and has been instrumental in building Providence’s air quality business. He currently serves as CEO of Providence Photonics, which is engaged in pioneering technology and research related to advanced leak detection at industrial facilities. He has developed multiple groundbreaking air monitoring and data management products, is the sole or co-inventor on six registered patents, and has published 10 peer-reviewed research papers in national and international journals. He has presented research at numerous industrial technology conferences and served on several state and national workgroups and committees including: The Louisiana AERMOD Modeling Workgroup, HRVOC Workgroup, Operating Permit Workgroup, The US EPA Science Advisory Board Scientific and Technological Achievement Award Committee, and The Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee’s Ambient Air Monitoring and Methods Subcommittee. He also instructed two graduate-level air pollution courses for six years as an Adjunct Professor at Southern Methodist University.
Mr. Zeng earned his PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
