Mr. Day brings over 35 years of experience primarily in the petroleum and petrochemical industries. His experience includes 25 years specializing in Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), hazardous waste management, compliance assurance, project management, developing and executing corporate programs, providing technical services and conducting waste-systems compliance audits. Mr. Day’s efforts have primarily focused on petroleum upstream and downstream industrial solid and hazardous waste management, RCRA corrective action and permitting, and waste and remediation-related advocacy first for a major integrated petroleum company, and for the past 8 years as a consultant to Trihydro’s major petroleum and petrochemical company clients. He has significant regulatory experience at the federal level and in states including Alaska, California, Oklahoma, and Texas.
During his tenure as a corporate Subject Matter Expert for a Fortune 100 Oil and Gas Company, Mr. Day was responsible for developing and implementing corporate environmental governance and compliance assurance strategies, as well as advising upstream and downstream operating facilities and corporate staffs on waste management planning and compliance. Mr. Day also administered that company’s RCRA financial assurance program. Furthermore, Mr. Day has participated in the regulatory/legislative advocacy activities of several major industry trade associations.
As a RCRA Subject Matter Expert with Trihydro, Mr. Day has continued to advise industrial clients on waste management and regulatory issues and has conducted compliance audits or addressed specific compliance issues at petroleum refineries, petrochemical plants, coal mines, and oil and gas production facilities.
