Lei (Larry) Sui, Director of Product Management, is responsible for the Downstream Ultrasonic Flow Measurement and Solutions Product Line, including Flare, Process Gas, Steam and Liquid Wetted. He owns the PL strategy, MGPP, New Product launches, CM, and product cost-outs. Prior to this role, he is the Global Technology Leader at GE Measurement and Control, where he led a multidisplinary team to drive on the execution of NPI, focused on Ultrasonic Flow Product Line. He had been working across functions to develop new ultrasonic transducers and ultraonic flow products for flare, steam, process gas and liquid applications. He had led New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts at GE , managed VCP programs to cut cost on existing products by leveraging GE Global Resources, and innovated new acoustic methods for ultrasonic flowmeters through R&D.

Before joining GE, Lei (Larry) Sui held the Ultrasound Research Scientist position at Saoirse Corp, a startup on MIT’s campus funded by DARPA. There, he developed an ultrasound-based hyperthermia system for drug delivery in vivo, and investigated the temperature elevation inside a rodent’s brain induced by high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU).

Lei (Larry) Sui obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Boston University, majoring in acoustics. There, he taught an undergraduate-level engineering class, called “Engineering Mechanics”.

Lei (Larry) Sui has authored more than 18 technical papers in professional journals and international conferences. His work has been cited many times and has been well recognized in the field. He has served as referees to international journals, and he also holds two US Patents.
