This 1 Day intermediate course is designed to help expand knowledge into the more complex aspects of air permitting. This course expands on topics such as modified vs. affected facilities, and introduces more advanced topics such as accommodated emissions, baseline actuals vs. PTE and/or projected actuals, contemporaneous netting, and three-tier BACT vs. top down BACT. The control technology discussion will also touch on LAER, and wrap up with a basic modeling discussion. In addition, this course will also discuss permitting in support of business units. This portion of the course is designed to help remind attendees of items such as timing and critical paths, anticipating capital costs, more controls vs. more requirements, permitting for flexibility, and finally, permitting with compliance in mind.
